Okay so this is the little tale of how I met someone famous and in Harry Potter.


As you all know I am staying with Ladysmith and His lovely wife Amazonorchid here in England near Birmingham. Well this weekend we traveled down to Duxford and stayed with a friend. Whilst the boys stayed home to play wargames Amazonorchid and I went to London to see the sights.

Bright and early we hopped on the train to Liverpool Street. (8 trains an hour from our little station.)

Arriving we immediatly set about seeing the sights of London. (Amazonorchid used to work in London) First we saw Trafalgar Sq. then on to the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Past 10 Downing St, Horse Guards, Buckingham Palace (Queen was out) The Mall, Big Ben well we didn't have all the time in the world so we saw what we could in that area.

Needing a rest we hit Covent Garden (Royal Opera House and a wonderful market area *great shopping Ladies* with wonderful street theatre too!)

We sat on a bench to watch an entertainer, I was at the end of the bench, Amazonorchid was next to me and we watched the show. It was then that the entertainter lost some of my attention so I decided to look about the crowd when I noticed a Blonde lady sitting on the other side of Amazonorchid, I passed on and then did a double take thinking, is that.... no no nah it couldn't be but then again it may just be.

So I looked again and by GEORGE! it WAS!!!! it was someone famous, so I nudged AO who looked and then looked back then this famous person winked and smiled at her.

So I said "Hello Miss Thompson?"

"Yes" she said with a big smile

*OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG*

I'm sat next to Emma Thompson!

So I do the fan thing and said hello again, We mention having just watched Nanny McFee and I mentioned taking the boys I used to nanny for to the movie when it came out. She was very delighted to hear that and thought it was great that I was a nanny. Then she mentioned to watch for the next one as she was in the process of writing it. *OMG that's inside info!* *big grins* She was so sweet and very nice as she was out with her Husband and children.

SO I got a photo of us and her lovely autograph. I will be nice and share with you all.
